NURSERY TO KINDERGARTEN
The journey begins in our Nursery and Pre-K classes. The children here begin by learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds associated with each letter. They progress to words and writing individual words and sentences. A overriding goal at this stage: to develop within our students a love for reading and an sense of the exciting doors that reading opens.

In Kindergarten, our students continue to grow as readers and writers. On any given day, visitors to Kindergarten are astounded by the fluency of our students. Our earliest learners are taught to be critical thinkers. They learn the importance of thinking and explaining their thinking. Supported by the Waterford computer-based Early Reading and Math Program , our students leave Kindergarten with all the skills they will need to make an an easy transition to grade 1.
